Engagement and inclusion

The Participatory Public Account (CPP) contains a synthesis of SERMIG's management of policies, plans, programs, actions and budget execution, developed during the year 2022.

The Civil Society Council (COSOC) of the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones (SERMIG) is an autonomous body whose purpose is to institutionalize the analysis and discussion of civil society regarding migrations in Chile, in matters within the competence of SERMIG.

In order to comply with the principle of the best interests of children and adolescents as set forth in Law No. 21 325, SERMIG has established in its internal structure the Iniciativa de Intermediación en materia de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes (NNA), which is in charge of the Niñez Migrante program.

The Servicio Nacional de Migraciones is responsible for and committed to mainstreaming a gender perspective in its work and the initiatives it sponsors: a program called Apoya Mujer Migrante (Support for Migrant Women) and the Unidad de Género to address related matters.

The Sello Migrante is a recognition given by the Servicio Nacional de Migraciones to the municipalities that carry out positive action measures aimed at the inclusion of the migrant and refugee population, based on certain quality standards and with a focus on rights, inclusion and non-discrimination.
